\\About Me
Jason A. Moore grew up mostly to single mother (registered nurse) with one other brother in Dayton, Ohio. Although his parents were married at the time of his birth in Berkeley, California, the marriage did not last and his mother who is very ambitious and progressive moved back to Ohio with his brother where they both grew up. In High School, he excelled in Kung-Fu (belted) and also became captain of his wrestling team after only one year. Directly after High School, he left his hometown to attend Howard University in Washington, DC.
His father also teaches chemistry at Howard University as a PHD Bio-Physical Chemist. He specializes in anti cancer drug interactions with DNA. One of his lifelong goals has been to find a cure for cancer. So it was at Howard University where Jason would be able to build a solid relationship with his father.
At Howard University, Jason served as a resident assistant (one of the few coveted student positions one could obtain at a university). He developed student programs and additionally upheld the dormitory code of conduct while also serving as a mediator between student disputes, etc... Additionally, he had the honor of pledging one of the most prominent professional fraternities, the International Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi. As he pursued a Bachelor of Business in Computer-based Information Systems, he had the opportunity to be one of the few business students to intern at Kraft Foods, Inc. (the first US ranked and second internationally ranked consumer packaged goods company in the world) based in the greater Chicago, Illinois metropolitan area.
He worked as a senior systems analyst at Kraft Foods for about six years. He primarily developed Intranet based software applications (tools) used by Research and Development scientists and engineers. Kraft was an ideal environment for getting involved in community service and he took advantage by participating as a mentor to disadvantaged minorities, public speaker, chair and director of various councils and committees.
From a business standpoint, in 1999, he started his first online ecommerce business. In 2001, he used the knowledge gained by working at Kraft Foods to automate approximately 99% of the tasks that were previously done manually on the site. He now owns and operates approximately 10 online business web sites with different business models and viable revenue streams.
